Yes,in NSW, a vehicle can have its GVM Up Rated after registration and it comes under State Compliance.
Yes, in some cases the GCM can be increased, but Makes and Models are limited. The Second Stage Manufacturer of the Suspension package and BTC, insist on full package only. The BTC not available for fitting with other brands.

Yes, in most cases GVM increase will reduce your towing capacity.

Special requirements may include, upgrading wheel and Tyre combinations for higher Load ratings to match new GVM. Upgrading Brakes to handle the new load requirements. If the Upgrade is over 3,500Kg’s Cat 6 indicators are required.
